This really spoke to me this morning! It seems tha This really spoke to me this morning! It seems that no matter what anyone does - but specially if it’s in the public eye - there’s always backlash. Even if someone is doing something positive and “correct”. It appears that the phrase “haters gonna hate” is just a way of life for so many people in this particular time on planet Earth. Sigh...

Today’s advice to all of us (myself included): Don’t be a hater. And if you are unable to successfully manage that, then maybe just keep your thoughts to yourself.
TBT Fun reminder of the week KLee and I were invi TBT
Fun reminder of the week KLee and I were invited to @canfitpro in Toronto to do some workshops and sell our newly minted book, Instructing Hatha Yoga.

It was such a great experience, and, like any trip with KLee, there were moments of crazy adventure! (Mostly in the airports! 😆)

Miss her, and often wonder what kind of adventures we might have gotten into and whether we’d both be in a different place on our yoga paths than I am currently.

Movin’ and Groovin’ in another hour-long Hatha Movin’ and Groovin’ in another hour-long Hatha class in under 30 seconds!

These are a quick depiction of what I’ve been playing around with in classes these past few weeks. Feel free to join me in real-time soon. Info in my bio, or DM for more details.
Pizza as abstract art? I can’t believe I keep Pizza as abstract art?

I can’t believe I keep posting food pics. Actually, I can. I’ve been working a lot on some projects and cooking is something that grounds me and allows me some nice moments of being fully focused and present without much thinking.

Oh - and it was delicious!

First stinging nettle harvest of the year! This st First stinging nettle harvest of the year! This stuff started growing in our yard the past couple of years and I figured I should go ahead and use it!

As you can see in the last slide, my glove and sleeve separated just enough so I was reminded about the persnickety nature of this plant!

What are the benefits of stinging nettle?

Well, it makes an earthy tasting tea, which is said to help with increasing immunity, regulating hormones, and preventing seasonal allergy symptoms, to name but a few.

Stinging nettle is also really high in protein and contains almost 20 times more calcium and 10 times more magnesium than spinach. And, its taste is quite similar to spinach. Yet, spinach doesn’t give you a rash when you touch it!

FYI - It’s extremely important to wear gloves and sleeves when harvesting, and even when preparing. (I forgot and when I was checking the dryness of a bunch, well, I got stung! A little aloe and a cold compress take out the sting.)

Thankfully, cooking, crushing and drying takes the sting out of the stems and leaves. I’m going to add it to a smoothie soon! I also plan on making a hair tonic and skin toner if the second harvest is as successful as the first!

Have you ever tried it?

Time for another <30 Hatha yoga class. I share the Time for another <30 Hatha yoga class. I share these, truly, as a “quick” glimpse of the sessions I share with the beautiful yoga community I am a part of. Even in a virtual setting, it’s such an honor to be with them. And - the sessions are even more fun in real-time!
