my teaching style

My yoga classes and therapy services include an eclectic blending of numerous Hatha Yoga styles and philosophies. I sequence each session based on the energetic and physical needs of those in attendance, therefore everyone finds the benefits they need most.

My free-form style of instruction is patterned after my own personal practices and experiences, which involves finding and focusing on the best variation of each physical pose for any given need at that particular moment in the practice. Additionally, meditation and pranayama are prominent in all aspects of instruction.

my clients

Individuals who best fit my style of group yoga sessions are generally able to move throughout their day with relative ease, and enjoy a mixed and diverse sampling of poses and philosophy. Therefore, I offer poses based on who shows up on any given day, so participants are open to, and willingly experiment with moving their bodies. They trust that I will not offer poses that might put them in physical or emotional discomfort.

For example, I always provide a variety of options, and the space for participants to give themselves permission to practice at the level which best serves them. For this reason, my group classes are appropriate for active people who understand the importance of slowing down some to remain healthy, as well as for those coming back into wellness and healing movement practices.
